"Hope" Fine Art Prints

from $5.00

This is ‘Hope.’ The moment after the storm, after despair, when the sun first begins to break through the clouds.

“The sunlight hits the tree, bright and warm. You know it will soon bathe you in golden, glittering light. Your skin will dry, and it will warm you, inside out. Two birds dance across the sky, disappearing into the brilliance of the sun. Their wings flash golden in the light. You watch in quiet awe. This is a moment you will remember forever, a moment that stamps itself on your lonely soul, a moment that you were chasing and didn’t realize it. This is an epiphany. This is hope.” To read more about the story behind this painting, read my blog post titled “Painting Hope.’

‘Hope’ is the first painting in The Hope Collection, a collection of paintings detailing my experience as a woman in the Mennonite community. The Hope Collection explores themes of grief, loss of community, the objectification of women, sexual assault, dissociation, body dysmorphia, and depression.

‘Hope’ Fine Art Prints are printed on archival matte paper with high-quality ink pigments. Each print is hand-signed by the artist and arrives with a certificate of authenticity.
